The work of Keke Vilabelda (1986) invites us to reflect on the construction and transformation of the contemporary landscape through painting.

Through the hybridization of industrial materials with digital techniques, his works function as an analogy for our current world, for the heterogeneous nature of urban space and the beauty of its deterioration. These dialogues between landscape, painting and technology occur from a game of overlapping appointments, understanding that the landscape, like painting, is built on the basis of multiple traces and overlapping processes.

Through friction, wear or digital manipulation, we are shown the various layers and strata where painting and digital techniques are intertwined in such a way that we are not able to clearly differentiate the limits between one and the other, thus generating a kind of image ambiguous and out of focus, which envelops the viewer. In this way, his work makes us think about how we perceive and inhabit our environment, placing us somewhere between the physical and the virtual world.
